Pomona Bags is a luxury fashion brand that is built on sustainability - all the product is made from organic material, including Desserto's cactus leather imported from Mexico. I was the Creative Director and Photographer for their 2023 holiday campaign. Our ideation of this idea can be summed up in this statement: "When you think of the word ‘Holiday’, it’s usually accompanied by visuals of toasty hearths set ablaze juxtaposed by drifting flurries of snow landing on a soft, pillowy white ground. Not in Arizona. Every year, hundreds of ‘snowbirds’ flock to the warm, sunny slopes to escape the dreariness of the northern landscapes. So when we were creating this campaign, it only felt right to embody the sunny luxury of the Southwest, even if this concept of a ‘Holiday Campaign’ feels a bit different than what we’re used to." Frilliance is a teen skincare + beauty brand founded in 2014 by creator and influencer, Fiona Frills. The skincare products can be found across hundreds of CVS and Walmart locations in all 50 states. Fiona approached me with ideas of light rebranding across the website and socials. We decided on a feel that replicated a style that's prevelant in 'photo-dumps', 'cluttercore', along with cultural icons and gen-z focused brands' social media - such as: We're Not Really Strangers, Rhode, and Glossier.
SiYousen is currently an upcycled fashion line by ASU student, Jake Q. Since it's inception in 2020, the brand has been featured in Phoenix Fashion Week, AZ Fashion Week, and dozens of local pop-up markets. I was tasked with creative direction, principle photography, and video work in the brand's AW23 collection. This collection explores themes of religious conflicts through a material lens, and explores various factors that enable human rights abuse and genocides.
Key Johnson is a creative out of Lubbock, Texas. Key's fashion collections focus on Menswear and accessories. The garments typically include patchwork-like reconstruction of old garments - recreating them to function as something new, something novel. These photos include items he produced in collaboration with textile artist, Sophia Villabos.
